Maidstone Barracks Buckland Hill

Planning permission was obtained for residential development comprising of 64 apartments in the urban area of Maidstone adjacent to Maidstone Barracks Train Station. Located at Buckland Rise, the former 1.4-acre site was predominantly used as a car park that was poorly utilised for more than 10 years.

The development consists of two blocks of apartments. The first block is 5 storeys high providing 36 apartments. The second block is 4-storeys high providing a total of 28 apartments including (12 units) shared ownership and (16 units) affordable rent. Perfectly situated with The High-Level Path providing direct access to Maidstone East Railway Station and Maidstone town centre.

Medway Gate

Previously home to a busy, working quarry, Medway Gate has been transformed into a key housing development in the region with 460 new homes, commercial space, community facilities, a large public open space and an ecology park. The site is located at the entrance to the Medway Towns close to Junction 2 of the M2. The site is directly accessed off the Roman Way roundabout on the A228.

Persimmon Homes were appointed as the preferred development partner with the Hyde Group acquiring all the affordable housing. The entire scheme was completed in 2012.

Sandpipers Sheerness

Location: Power Station Road, Halfway.
Size: 9.7 acres.
Units: 142 dwellings. 131 units of (3 and 4 bedroom) houses, plus 11 units within a single apartment block.
Redevelopment of former HBC Engineering site.

The development is located on Power Station Road covering 9.7 acres nearby Kent’s stunning coastline and countryside of Minster. It was also important for the site to be sustainable in this area with respect to local services and leisure activities in walking or cycling distance. Surrounding the development is Halfway Houses Primary School, equestrian stables and Sheerness Golf Course.

Development was built out by Persimmon Homes and completed in 2020.
